We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem. We have abused power and called it politics. We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and Set us free. Amen!'

With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called 'One nation under God.'

Easter fun at the church today! Chloe and Sydni Nasiatka came with us. Macey's group helped lead worship with dancing and singing. I'll post the video to that soon.

Last weekend, we decided to take advantage of the heavy winds and fly the kite. Parker and I struggled with it for quite some time before getting it to fly, but fly it did! What a gorgeous day it was!

On April Fool's Day, I made "special surprise" cupcakes. They were actually dinner.... meatloaf with mashed potato frosting! : )

The kids and I enjoyed dying eggs tonight! We look forward to this every year. Aren't they just so pretty once they are done? Ya hate to eat them. : ) Moriah was out taking pictures at a softball ball game for the yearbook, so she missed out on most of the fun. We saved her a couple eggs to do herself when she got home. She still enjoys this Easter tradition.

Last weekend the kids and I ran to Albertsons and were surprised by what saw in the lobby area. This cute pooch was inside the store, on a bike, waiting patiently for his human. I just couldn't believe how relaxed this dog appeared. Even with all the scents in the air... deli chicken, fresh cut coldcuts... he could probably smell the doggy treats! Even as people passed by and talked to him, it just didn't phase him. I think he knew... one wrong move and that bike would topple over and he'd be in big trouble! I was impressed with this guy!

We made it! We drove our old van to San Diego and back safely, with no mechanical issues. Thank God! We had an awesome time, but it's nice to be home. We'd take the San Diego weather anytime, but we'd had enough of the close quarters of six of us in a hotel room. It's amazing how our house feels so big and spacious now. : )

We were able to meet 2 of Tyler's brothers and their families in Anaheim and spent 4 days playing at the park. It was so nice to see everyone and the kids absolutely LOVE to spend time with cousins, aunties and uncles! Thank you Dave, Roxanne, Kevin and Ronda for making this work. It was so nice to spend some fun time together.

We parted ways after 4 days in Anaheim and we traveled south to San Diego. What a beautiful place! We stayed at a little, older, motel just steps from the beach. We loved it and would definitely return. We spent time at Sea World, on the beach, and we were able to visit The Rock church ( a mega church of San Diego ) Sunday morning.

Tyler joked on the way home, saying that we'd just been through "vacation boot camp." We certainly didn't get much rest and relaxation, but did get to see and do everything we wanted to. We all agree it was an awesome trip and we had plenty of time to rest and recover on the 16 hour drive home.
